Historics’ scintillating entry at its 2024 opener on 2nd March is headed spectacularly by a Jaguar bought and owned personally by His Majesty King Charles III.

The 2018 Jaguar I-Pace was the royal family’s first electric vehicle, thus delivering exceptional royal provenance. It’s joined at the sale by a glorious 2003 Bentley Arnage first owned by HRH Princess Anne. Inevitably, the duo has attracted enormous pre-sale collector interest.

Purchased by HM King Charles III in April 2018 this range topping EV400 HSE Jaguar I-Pace was not only Jaguars first foray into Electric cars but the first electric car supplied to the Royal Family, of course given his passion for the environment Prince Charles at the time was the first to add the car to his collection. Presented with the registration OY18 BVC and provided direct from Jaguar UK for his personal use, the car was as we understand initially in Eiger Grey, a popular colour for the 2018 year, however his majesty insisted the car must be in his favourite colour of Loire Blue thus it was returned to Jaguar for a colour change and remains the only I-Pace to be produced in this colour.

The car is supplied to auction in excellent condition, with what appears to be its original seats, excellent paint and the knowledge that an expert has recently been right through the car and it is now ready to be enjoyed. We do know that this car was originally built as a left hand drive example, delivered to its first owner in Italy, but has always been right hand drive during our vendor’s ownership. The car is offered with a very attractive estimate for any Dino and will be supplied with a V5C registration document and twenty pages of invoices detailing the recent works undertaken.
