Question: What was your reaction when you found out that you had won the Dream Team award??

I was extremely grateful to be given this award! There are so many individuals who deserve this award in our company, and I feel truly honored to have been selected.

Question: How did you get your start with SEG? What has that journey been like??

I started as an intern in 2016. In 2020, I moved to Philadelphia and worked at a public accounting firm for a year. In 2021, an opportunity came up for me to come back as a Senior Accountant, and I immediately said yes. I’ve always loved the Jazz and was sad to leave the first time, so rejoining the organization in 2021 was incredibly exciting. I’ve been here ever since.?

Question: If asked, how would you describe your role to someone who didn’t know you??

My role involves ensuring that all our events are accurately recorded and reported. I mainly focus on hockey and arena events, and I meet with department heads to go over monthly financial results.?

Question: What is the best part of your role? What is the toughest part??

The best part of my role is being able to work with various departments across the organization. I love building relationships, and connecting with different departments is one of my favorite things. The toughest part is finding time to meet with every department. Our expansion over the last six months has made scheduling meetings with everyone a challenge.?

Question: What is your favorite part of being with the organization??

My favorite part is that I am never bored with my job! I always tell people to find a job that you’d love waking up to, and this is that job for me. Additionally, my team is awesome — we genuinely care for one another and always have fun together.

Question: Is this your dream job? If not, what is??

Yes, this definitely is my dream job. When I left in 2020, I used to joke that I’d found my dream job too young. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to return. I love the challenges this job brings, and my team is amazing.?

Question: Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years??

I see myself still with SEG , but I’d also love to start a business related to plants. I have 200+ plants at home, and while it’s a hobby now, it could potentially turn into a passion project.?

Question: Any advice/inspiration you’d give to someone looking to join the Utah Jazz or Utah Hockey Club??

My advice is if you want something in life, just go for it! I almost didn’t apply for this internship back in 2016, but I knew I’d regret not trying. Taking that chance brought me to where I am today.?
