Au revoir!

Au revoir!

I love Paris in the springtime

I love Paris in the fall

I love Paris in the summer when it sizzles

I love Paris in the winter when it drizzles.

I love Paris every moment

Every moment of the year

I love Paris,

Why oh why do I love Paris

Because my love is here.

Cole Porter

Reflecting on my time in France, as I came to the end of this incredible 19-month journey, both professionally and personally, it's astounding to see the magnitude of what we've achieved during this period.

?

In the ever-evolving landscape of our world, from geopolitical shifts to economic transformations and, perhaps most significantly, ecological transitions, the pace of change has been unimaginable.

During my assignment in France, I had the privilege of witnessing and experiencing these changes firsthand. While inflationary pressures and market dynamics were not unfamiliar to me, they presented extreme challenges for my team in France. However, drawing on my previous experiences, I found resilience in navigating these turbulent waters.

The waves of change often feel beyond our control, with topics like AI entering our lives at lightning speed, yet as human beings, we adapt with our innate ability to embrace them.

Challenging times demand heightened focus and discipline, Plus Innovation.

Looking back on what we set out to achieve and what we ultimately accomplished as a team, I give us a solid A grade, But as Founder of Jim Casey says, “We are constructively dissatisfied” and always looking opportunity to be better

We recognized early on what needed to be done and established routines and practices to deliver results efficiently.

The cohesion and shared understanding of our goals propelled us forward as an effective team. Turning challenges into opportunities has been a recurring theme throughout my tenure.

Challenging times and circumstances compel us to think outside the box and innovate. I can recall numerous instances where we couldn't have imagined certain developments, yet we managed to bring them to fruition in a remarkably short span.

Sustainability Challenge (Turn it to opportunity)

Upon my arrival in France, I prioritized personal development in one area: sustainability. Recognizing the urgency of sustainability and the significant role business leaders play in addressing it.

Executives must balance the present quarter with future prospects to avoid prioritizing short-term gains at the expense of long-term opportunities or vice versa. This strategy entails managing the balance between urgency and importance, short-term goals, and long-term objectives.

What initially seemed like a daunting challenge soon revealed itself as a remarkable opportunity. We took proactive steps, forming a Sustainability Committee Structure and a Paris Sustainability Work Stream in 2023.

The results were nothing short of astonishing, with a reaching to 66% (2 out of 3 cars) green delivery in Paris achieved in less than 8 months, positioning us well to reach 100% within a year for Paris and many other successes on sustainability journey. The team made an outstanding job.

This journey of exploration and implementation not only yielded tangible results but also enriched our understanding of the topic and its possibilities.

Talent

I rediscovered, Talent exists across all layers of an organization, different functions, age group, background. It was immensely gratifying to identify and nurture talent, guiding individuals to reach their full potential.

In an era defined by the intersection of AI century and industrial century, keeping our talent pool relevant to current trends is a paramount.

While there's still progress to be made in this area, I take pride in the foundation we've laid to support our people's development and ensure their readiness for the new world unfolding before us.

As I bid farewell to France, I carry with me cherished memories and lasting friendships. To each member of my team, our partners, and friends, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome and fond farewell.
