ATV – An Android App for ATSC 3.0

Our journey to launch an ATSC 3.0 product started at CES 2017. The quest enters its sixth year at CES 2022 as we launch version 6.0 of our ATSC 3.0 software. We have given alphabetical names to each version… Axiom, Binomial, Cofactor, Dihedral, Exponent and now Fractal. Boxes bearing our Dihedral and Exponent software are operational in 15 launched markets now.

This brings us to ATV, our Android app that is based on version 6.0 of ATSC3pak. Here is what it supports:

  • Portable to any set-top box or TV that runs Android and includes an ATSC 3.0 tuner and a Dolby? AC-4 certified SoC.
  • ATSC 3.0 and ATSC 1.0
  • ROUTE/DASH (MMT is coming)
  • Multiple tuners
  • Grid guide
  • Software updates
  • Signed tables
  • Multi-PLP broadcasts
  • Channel scan
  • Captions
  • HDMI output with Dolby? AC-4 audio
