Attract More Money to Your Business and Your Life

Attract More Money to Your Business and Your Life

This question is going to come off as rude and presumptuous of me, but I’m going to ask it anyway…

As a financial professional, have you ever felt like a fraud? Or dealt with imposter syndrome?

I only know that this might be the case because of the struggles I went through as a financial advisor.

I wasn’t making the money I knew I could be making or should be making. So, I wasn’t saving enough and growing my money like I knew I was supposed to (or as I would have advised others to do)

In fact, I was even going into debt. (Big financial advisor “no-no.”)

A lot of it had to do with the strategies I was using to grow my business, that I learned in the industry.

But a lot had to do with my mindset.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could attract more money into your business and your life?

Maybe you’ve been taking all the right action to serve your clients at the highest level, but your business feels stagnant. You want to expand, but sometimes it’s all you can do to just stay afloat.?

First of all, you’re not alone! Many women in this industry spend so much time giving great advice, providing transformational experiences, and helping everyone with everything that they neglect their own money mindset. If that sounds like you, then it’s time for a little self-care — and episode 44 of Growing Your Financial Business… The Woman’s Way!

As the founder of Teh Financial Coaching, Christine Teh makes your relationship with money her business (literally). After five years of honing her business and getting significant results for her clients, she has practical and actionable advice for people of any income or portfolio — which means that no matter where you are in your business growth, there’s a takeaway in this episode for you!

One thing Christine knows for sure is that a little self-awareness can go a long way. . .

Do You Actually Understand Your Relationship with Money?

Christine helped a client budget her own finances, and the results were awesome! In just over a year, this client went from living with pretty significant debt to $10,000 — then $20,000 — in savings. Talk about coachable!

It was a real success story and a perfect example of what strategic budgeting can do. . . until the money started dwindling again.

Christine couldn’t believe it. “Wait, you were doing so well!” she said. “Why are you spending that when we planned on investing it?”

The client couldn’t explain it. Honestly, she had never had that much money to her name, and somewhere deep inside, she felt like she didn’t deserve to have that much. Instead of shifting her mindset, the client was shifting her finances to fit inside her comfort zone — undercharging for her services, giving out money to friends and family, anything to keep the number in her savings account from ticking any higher.

Of course, most of this was the result of unconscious choices and old habits. The client had the ability to budget and grow her wealth, but she didn’t have the mindset to motivate her.

As a business owner, you especially need the right mindset to grow your business because you have to take more risks than a “jobber.” If you’re not hitting your revenue goals, you don’t have the luxury to blow your money on personal stuff. If you really want to win in business, you have to invest back in your business. And that sometimes means going into debt...but that’s often also the only way out of being in debt.

If you don’t step outside your comfort zone and take risks, then the amazing growth that you want will always be out of reach.?

Take the time to examine your own mindset and how you approach your own wealth, and then think about how you can shift it to attract more money and live your ideal life.

With Christine’s help, her client was able to make fundamental changes and start saving for retirement again. How can you make changes to achieve your business growth goals?
