As we approach the end of 2024 and gear up for 2025, I know you're likely reflecting on the past year and planning for the one ahead. As a divorced entrepreneur, this time of year can be both exciting and challenging. You're not just setting business goals, but also navigating personal growth and healing. To help you make the most of this process, I wanted to share a couple of questions I use when making my own plans.
The first thing I do is envision my desired destination. I ask myself:
"Imagine you are walking down the street on December 31st, 2025, and you bump into yourself. What kind of man would you need to BE, and what would you need to have DONE, to be absolutely thrilled to meet yourself?"
It's crucial to define who you want to be – as a father, as a businessman, as a man – before diving into the doing. Your actions will flow from your identity. When you have a clear picture of your best self, you can start moving intentionally towards it.
This vision of who you want to "bump into" at the end of 2025 becomes your guiding light. Use it to evaluate every decision, commitment, and investment you make in the coming year. Ask yourself, "Is this aligned with the man I'm becoming?"
Now, you might be wondering, "How do I figure out who I want to be after something as life-altering as divorce?" The answer lies in collaboration.
As the saying goes, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." Surround yourself with people who uplift you, challenge you, and support your growth. This leads me to the second question I ask myself:
"Who will be on my team in 2025?"
This is when I plan out my coaches, mentors, and mastermind groups for the year ahead. I consider who I need in my corner, both professionally and personally, to become the best version of myself.

Having a strong support system is especially important for divorced entrepreneurs. You'll inevitably face setbacks along the way – distraction from your goals, disappointment in unmet expectations, discouragement when progress feels slow. But with the right people by your side, you'll be equipped to overcome these challenges and keep moving forward.
Finally, I ask myself:
"What is the single most important action I can take RIGHT NOW to start building my best life and business in 2025?"
Remember, Robert, divorce is not the end of your story – it's the beginning of an incredible new chapter. You have the power to redefine yourself, your business, and your future. Let's make 2025 the year you look back on as the turning point in your journey.
If you're ready to take control of your destiny and create a life and business you're proud of, I invite you to join me for the upcoming masterclass, "Rebuilding Your Life and Business in 2025: A Masterclass for Divorced Entrepreneurs." P.S. I'll leave you with this powerful question to ponder as you plan for the year ahead: Who do you need to be and what do you need to have done to be absolutely thrilled when you bump into yourself on December 31st, 2025?
