Attn Coaches: Could You be a More Confident & Focused Coach?

Are you feeling stuck in your coaching business? Have you been working hard and it feels like nothing is happening? Do you feel frustrated, unfulfilled, and unsure of what to do next. It’s time for a change!?

I am currently in a second year of a group coaching program with a very significant number of members and have been in many programs over the last 20 years. What consistently stands out to me is the number of coaches who have not found their niche. I don't say this lightly as it took me a long time to find my niche, but I am aware that with all of the information given regarding niching, there is a flaw in the current information being taught. Why are so many coaches struggling for so long with a niche? Below are a couple of thoughts.

Current teaching methods: While there are many amazing coaches and programs out there, I realize that there is something more to niching than is being shared today. Confidence, Inspiration, Joy, Massive Impact and Our Unique Voice are all elevated when we are aligned with our niche. The typical process taught is for coaches to fit themselves into one of the 4 major areas of coaching and find the subset that they best fit into that will provide significant income.

While this may work for some whose coaching authentically fits into those buckets, I believe they are missing a step. What is that step? An incongruence in being aligned with the inner knowing of your purpose and the niche you are choosing. Success is inevitable for those who follow their true purpose.

Having a niche will support your true purpose and allow you to become more confident in yourself so you can make a difference in the lives of others. It doesn’t matter if you are just starting out or have been coaching for years,?the right niche that is aligned with your true purpose for coaching is one of the most fundamental elements to designing a joyful and thriving coaching business.

Mindset: Have you been told over and over that you need to niche, but your mindset convinces you otherwise? Our mindset is a product of a lifetime of learning, experiences and adopted belief systems. We all must explore our thoughts and beliefs and ask ourselves if they are serving us with our best interest in mind. We are always evolving so why wouldn't our thoughts and beliefs have to be re-examined frequently throughout our lifetime? Have you examined your current mindset to see if there is something holding you back from success? Could it be that a simple shift in your mindset could produce unexpected and extraordinary results?

If you are a coach struggling with your business and you haven't niched yet, maybe this is the next step necessary for you to finally turn the corner and create your presence in the coaching world. If you are coach just starting out, save yourself the years of struggle and determine your authentic niche from the start.

A side note: When you choose a niche, you are not stuck with that niche forever. As I stated, we are always evolving and it may very well be that your niche will evolve along with you.
