Over the past decade, two referendums - the 2014 Scottish Independence referendum and the 2016 Brexit referendum - have centred on issues of national identity, pride, and immigration. On 3rd September, we will publish the final?chapter of the 2024 British Social Attitudes report on national identity, examining how Britons currently view their national identity, what they take pride in, and how these views relate to key constitutional questions about Britain's post-EU status and Scotland's position within the UK.
