Attitude is a Skill
We pay close attention to our nutrition and what goes into our bodies but what about what we feed our minds?
Among all the skills you can develop, attitude should be your main focus. Why is developing and improving your attitude on a daily basis so important? Attitude affects all of your decision making, productivity, and the quality of your personal and professional relationships.
Studies have shown that we have 60,000 thoughts running through our mind every day, and 75% of them are negative. No wonder our natural tendency is to react negatively to a situation.
Now, how do you go about making a positive attitude shift? Like developing any other skill, intentional effort and consistency. Improving your attitude requires focusing on two main points.
- Flood your brain with positive inputs
- Drastically reduce and (whenever possible) eliminate negative inputs
It sounds simple, but doing this on a daily basis will take some practice and it may take time to see a noticeable improvement. The goal is have more positive thoughts than negative thoughts on a daily basis. Be aware of the positive and negative inputs in your life and by making some shifts in habits, you can dramatically improve your attitude.
