The fact that at the 2022 UN General Assembly held this week, the UN chief António G. and global ambassador of UNICEF India Priyanka Chopra , in this day and age, had to literally plead to all countries to collaborate with a common cause to save the planet from the current climate change, war atrocities and economic uncertainties, and accelerate progress towards the sustainable development goals goes to show how disconnected we are in the era of (digital) connectedness, while seemingly being attached to everything around us!
The ask is for a coalition of the world coupled with humanity in diversity.
But this is a gigantic ask and inherently tricky!
Why?
Let me explain.
This basically means all countries need to act like "self-organizing teams without the need of a leader". Sure, this has been accomplished with successful creative teams and even animals like bees, ants and starlings (same culture) but never people from different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds.?
Implementing such culturally diverse, leaderless, self-organizing teams is perhaps the wickedest challenge we face today as a humanity.
This has never been accomplished in the history of nature, leave alone mankind. Or has it and how?

People from indigenous cultures will tell you about how attached they are to nothing while being connected to everything. Even nature has plenty of stories to tell about the interconnectedness of our ecosystems. And now studies on quantum interconnectedness show that even our consciousness is entangled and connected at a subatomic level.
Maybe the answers can be found in the problem itself? Maybe nature is trying to show us the way and we are not listening well enough? Maybe these answers lie within our inner world and we are too scared to look inside?
Quite possibly our redemption lies here. Between these questions, amongst the most simple, natural solutions. More than anything, in this world of conflicting feelings and desires that is characterized by harmony in chaos, honesty in performance, and resilience in disruptive times, is one big truth. She might have been the last to come out of Pandora’s Box; here, Hope is the only thing we have.
I believe this in itself is a good beginning.
But then again, what if we never muster the courage to act as one, when we could have and did not?
