Why the switch from Compaction to Neurpac??

Besides the need to trademark a name - and you can’t get a trademark that is “descriptive” - we have realized, as our research has continued to evolve, that what we now call Neurpac can do much, much more than this, and “compaction” implies only the data reduction aspect of the technology. So we rethought the name. It was key to trademark the name so the big companies did not try to muscle us if we start to ramp, which we think we will do, and they want to try and say that they have a better “compaction” product. Finally, we want to build a family of products, so the new name needed to share part of the name we gave our other product, Neurcom, and “pac” takes a bit from compaction. Voila!

What’s in the future for Neurpac??

Neurpac rethinks data structure in computer terms, and cuts down radically on the human-necessary bulk that slows computers and networks down - this is “Data as Codewords”. This could translate to 4x faster calculations, 4x faster networks, 75% less power use and 75% less storage that would otherwise be needed for the original, standard data. Given the massive projected computing needs for AI and other big consumers of computing resources, Neurpac could have a major potential opportunity in this area, which is one of the biggest issues in computing today.?

Our recent partnerships with the Navy, Air Force, and Space Force highlight the urgent need to advance Neurpac development - its advance could be judged a matter of national importance. Neurpac’s applications span military and commercial sectors.
