Welcome to the fourth monthly instalment of atNorth News, where we gather all our latest updates from the past few weeks in one place for you to review again.

JANUARY

FEBRUARY

Following publication of the CoolIT Systems customer success Case Study, Luc Wagemakers EMEA Area Manager for CoolIT penned a Guest Blog entitled - The role of Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) in supporting today’s modern, sustainable data center. MARCH

Capacity Media - a techoraco brand selected our ICE03 campus in Akureyri, Iceland as their Data Center of the Month. Reliable international connectivity / sustainable operations / suitable climate - these where just a few of the USP's highlighted. Read the complete article here .

Also in March, Advania Group expanded their partnership with atNorth with additional data center capacity at our ICE03 campus. Advania is a?long-standing customer of atNorth. Commenting on the announcement our CEO Eyjólfur Magnús Kristinsson “We are proud to be able to offer increased services where security and connectivity is ensured, and carbon footprint is?minimised”. APRIL

In April we appointed a new Chief Development Officer, Anna Palsdottir - an experienced engineer - Anna will be tasked with guiding atNorth’s development initiatives, driving the expansion of our existing sites, and delivering new data center campuses across the Nordics. Greener Data vol 2 is launched

The Greener Data movement was launched this month, with volume two published and reaching number one on the Amazon best sellers list in 24 hours! atNorth CSMO Fredrik Jansson is a contributing author. His chapter talks about how innovation, customers and consumers will fuel the movement and create a?lasting legacy for our?children. MAY

Always a busy month for award nominations and for us, a double award win! The Tech Capital recognized our partnership with Shearwater GeoServices and award us "Digital Infrastructure Project of the Year" and then a few days later we won "Colocation Provider of the Year" reflecting the transformational business growth journey we are on. The AI‐TechPark interview with our COO Erling Gudmundsson explored how AI impacts digital infrastructure and how atNorth is shaping a sustainable future for data centers in the Nordics. "We are only at the cusp of what technology and digitalization is capable of – first and foremost, we need to align as an industry to create meaningful changes that will stand the test of time and innovation." As the business continues to scale to meet the increasing demand for our services, we appointed J?rgen Larsson as Director of Hyperscale Operations. J?rgen is tasked with overseeing the startup of all atNorth’s new data centers as part of our data expansion?strategy. JUNE

Recognized by the RAC Cooling Industry Awards for our innovative cooling technology and dedication to customer service, we are shortlisted for "Customer Initiative of the Year". The awards aim to celebrate innovation, best practice and business excellence across the refrigeration and air conditioning sectors.

After attending the event for the first time, Director of Site Selection Johann Thor Jonsson reflected on his key moments in this latest employee blog.
