ATMC acquires the Australian Performing Arts Conservatory (APAC)

While the education sector is still recovering from the trials of COVID-19 the Australian Technical and Management College (ATMC) owned by Dr. Manish Malhotra has purchased Brisbane-based college Australian Performing Arts Conservatory (APAC).

The purchase of APAC adds another set of education products to the already extensive suite offered by ATMC. “It also indicates the faith that I have in the recovery of the education sector in Australia as we move beyond the COVID-19 pandemic,” said ATMC founder and Chairman Dr. Manish Malhotra.

ATMC Chief Executive Officer Roch van Delft said “This is an exciting time for ATMC. We see this purchase as a way to expand the education that we offer and continue the development of APAC which is known for its high-quality degree offerings in the creative arts space.”?

APAC which offers independent higher education degrees in acting, screen production, and song and dance has been operating since 1993.“Although at first glance this does not seem to fit with ATMC’s offerings it complements products already on offer through ATMC New Zealand where we have degrees in film and digital media production. We think this will give students an exciting opportunity to study in Australia and New Zealand but also, to benefit from the different approaches to teaching that these two colleges offer. It also provides a platform for ATMC to develop unique higher education programs to meet future economic needs,” said Dr. Malhotra.

ATMC already delivers university-managed campus operations and professional year (PY) programs in Sydney and Melbourne, VET in Melbourne, and higher education and VET in Auckland New Zealand alongside edtech solutions through Edfibre and employment solutions through Employability.Life.
