Atlas Coffee Club Review

Atlas Coffee Club Review

Picture this: you're on your way to work but running late. Deep down, you know you must brew a steaming cup of coffee before you dash out and get through the 9 to 5 drill. But you open your bag of coffee only to find it empty.?

Sounds like a situation you don't want to find yourself in? Me neither. That's why coffee subscription services were invented: to save us all from those annoying 'ran out of coffee' moments, especially on Mondays.

Word around the coffee town is that Atlas Coffee Club has one of the best coffee subscriptions for coffee lovers like yourself. Once I discovered that Atlas Coffee sends you delicious coffee from around the world, I knew I had to review it and see if it was worth our money.?

After all, coffee is an important decision. So, is Atlas Coffee's subscription worth it? Is it really the best coffee subscription for coffee drinks like ourselves? Find out in my review.?

What's Atlas Coffee Club All About?

Atlas Coffee Club is a coffee subscription that gets much love for sending speciality-grade coffee beans from around the world to your doorstep. Their mission?

They want to move coffee drinkers from commercial-grade coffee blends to premium-quality, single-origin coffee, which is awesome if you ask me.?

The cool thing is that the coffee beans are roasted right when you order them, so you basically get fresh coffee at your doorstep.

Each package is presented in bright and artistic packaging inspired by the country where the coffee comes from. I think this is pretty cool because it gives you some insight into the coffee history of the beans. This lets you see which flavor profiles you like and match them with their origin.

I've read that some people even leave the pretty bags on their kitchen counters because they look so good!

When you sign up, you can set up everything just how you like it. You choose the roast type based on your roast preference, whether you want whole beans or ground coffee, how often you want it delivered, and how much coffee you need. Reviewers really appreciate this because it lets them get their coffee just right.

People who've tried Atlas Coffee Club seem really happy with it. They say it's fun to try exotic coffees from different parts of the world each month, and the beans' quality is consistently great.

If you're thinking about trying it out or want to learn more about what makes it special, stick around! I'll share more about what people are saying about their experiences.

How The Subscription Works

When you join Atlas Coffee Club, the process kicks off with a brief quiz. This quiz gathers some basic information about your coffee preferences and how much coffee you usually need.

Here's what happens next:

  • Coffee Selection: The Atlas team sources high-quality micro-lot beans from different regions worldwide each month.
  • Customization: Your coffee is tailored to your tastes based on your quiz answers, such as your preferred grind and roast level. For example, I prefer whole beans with a light to medium roast.
  • Shipping Frequency: The default options for delivery are either bi-weekly or monthly, but Atlas's FAQ mentions they're flexible. If you need a weekly delivery or maybe just once every two months, they can arrange that.
  • Roasting and Delivery: The beans are roasted right after you order to ensure freshness. For U.S. customers, the first bag arrives within 3-6 days of shipment. You will also receive postcards from each batch of beans' country of origin. Future orders will continue to be charged and shipped according to your chosen schedule.
  • Subscription Management: You can manage your subscription details or cancel anytime by logging into your online account.

Is The Atlas Coffee Club Subscription Worth Getting?

Before I give you an answer, let me get into some of the things I liked and didn't like about it so you can make your own decision. Because, hey, we all have our preferences, right?

For example, I'm a huge fan of MUD WTR. Their healthy coffee is amazing, which is why I've done a complete MUD WTR review,?too.

But I did go through many atlas coffee club reviews and people seem happy with it.

What I Liked

  • Global Coffee Tour: Atlas Coffee Club is like travelling the world through coffee, featuring high-quality, single-origin beans from micro-lots globally. (Past shipments included beans from Ethiopia, Indonesia, Kenya, and Peru.)
  • Expert Selection: All beans are carefully hand-selected by the Atlas team, ensuring top quality with each batch.
  • Ethical Sourcing: Atlas commits to exceeding fair trade standards, paying farmers well above the typical market rate.
  • Freshness: Beans are roasted only after you order them, guaranteeing they arrive at peak freshness.
  • Customization: You can choose your preferred roast level, grind type (ground or whole bean), and how often you receive shipments.
  • Beautiful Packaging: Each bag features unique, eye-catching designs inspired by the coffee’s country of origin.
  • Tea Option Available: Not just for coffee lovers, Atlas offers a tea club as well.
  • Easy Cancellation: Subscribers can cancel their subscriptions easily online.

What I Didn't Like

  • Limited Variety Per Month: Only one type of coffee is featured each month, which might not satisfy those with specific regional preferences (like exclusively preferring South American coffees).
  • Single Roaster: All coffee is roasted by Atlas, so if you want to try beans from different roasters, you might need to look elsewhere.
  • Cost: At $14 per shipment for a 12 oz. bag, plus $4.95 for shipping, it's not the most budget-friendly option.
  • Roast Preference: If you are a fan of super dark roasts or primarily drink espresso, this subscription might not meet your needs.

?The Final Verdict

The value of an Atlas Coffee Club subscription is clear despite it not being the cheapest option. Unlike grocery store beans, Atlas offers fresh, single-origin beans delivered to your door at a competitive price ($14 per bag plus $4.95 shipping).

My experience with Atlas was excellent. Learning about and brewing Colombian coffee was enjoyable, and the quality of the coffee was superb. I appreciated that Atlas supports farmers by paying above-market rates.

Atlas combines great product quality and ethical practices, making it a worthwhile choice for coffee lovers who value convenience and support good causes. Speaking of premium coffee brands, check out my Javy Coffee review too.?
