ATLANTIS HAS BEEN FOUND!

Although it still has to be proven, Atlantis did not sink into the sea, or have the sea rise to cover it. Right now, Atlantis is covered by ice, one mile thick. Antarctica was once an advanced civilization in the temperate zone, which shifted southward since the end of the last Ice Age, some 15,000 years ago. As it did so, the inhabitants had to flee, and a few ended up in Meso-America among the Mayans, and a few ended up in Egypt. Transmitting their knowledge to these civilizations helped them become the amazing cultures that they were.

For this to be true, geologists will have the opportunity to prove that the lithosphere, about 100 miles thick, was capable of, and did slip over the molten mantle, thus bringing Greenland south from the North Pole, and Antarctica (Atlantis) south to the South Pole. This had to occur rapidly (at most, several thousand years). It has nothing to do with plate tectonics, which occurs in the upper 5% of the lithosphere, and which takes millions of years to shift.
