Atlantic Crossings Exhibition
Our exhibition, Atlantic Crossings, is very much about connections and the human journey.
The power of people to create and connect, to build community, is showcased here, where we feature six artists from three countries. Follow the progress on Facebook
Storytelling has always been important in our world and the ability to share the lives and adventures of others shows us what’s possible, and we hope you enjoy the stories and visions that our artists have created for us.
Here are our artists and storytellers:
John Coll, a Galway man now based in Dublin, is today one of Ireland's leading figurative artists. His work is inspired by the natural world and by John’s humanity and sense of humour. https://bit.ly/2gbD030
Pierluigi Slis, from Turin, tries to look at contemporary art from a distance. He wants his viewer to cultivate new thoughts from his mysterious installations. https://bit.ly/2w4v0q1
Margaret Nolan, a Dubliner, now based in Galway, will present new challenging perspectives on the human form with her very individual vision. https://bit.ly/2vd9P6b
Mia Hinchey, from California, brings a very expressionistic and abstract joy to her work, which is heavily influenced by her childhood. https://bit.ly/2wNcanM
Pat Byrne, grew up in Detroit, but calls Galway home. Her work is both colourful and full of joy, she presents a surreal view of her world. https://bit.ly/2waZDs2
Cristian Whitney, a Denver native, is both a fine artist and a designer, whose postmodern take on the world brings a wonderful fresh perspective to our collection. https://bit.ly/2wEfl25
The power of this exhibition draws from the craving we have for connectivity, for sharing our stories. We hope the work will encourage you to look at the world a little differently and perhaps find someone from your tribe to connect with along the way.
