ATI: a perfect balance of cost and quality for medium-haul fleet maintenance

From its facilities in Casablanca, near the Mohammed V airport, Aerotechnic Industries (ATI) delivers competitive base support solutions including heavy and light maintenance, modifications services and aircraft painting. Today, ATI is making strides as a reliable partner for operators in the region (and beyond) for all their medium-haul fleet maintenance needs.

Despite the health crisis, the co-enterprise set up between AFI KLM E&M and Royal Air Maroc has maintained its normal pace of operations, in order to meet the calendar maintenance dates that remain in place despite aircraft being grounded. ATI has therefore continued to gather experience and refine its processes, launching itself into the “post-pandemic” context with fresh ambitions.

Capabilities strengthened for the medium term

One of these ambitions involves developing ATI’s market share in the third-party MRO market, supporting airlines other than its parent companies (Air France-KLM Group and Royal Air Maroc). With this in mind, ATI has recently re-launched a strategic investment project in a new hangar, with a view to dedicating new maintenance capabilities to third-party operators by 2024-25.

“ATI is doing a lot of recruiting. This year, thirty technicians have joined us from local training institute ISMALA, and we’ll need to keep on hiring at this rate in order to facilitate our present and future development, given the new capabilities arriving over the next three to four years. During this period, we’re also thinking about extending our service offering to latest-generation fleets such as the 737MAX and A320neo. We have also launched a program of operational excellence, in order to ensure ongoing optimisation of our processes, organisation and decision-making methods,” declares Lo?c Gélébart, ATI Managing Director.

Following recent commercial long-term cooperations. ATI is now seeking to upsell a mode of multi-year collaboration to its client airlines:
