Atheism

I'm a Bible Christian. An author, poet and song writer posting poetry from my books inspired by the written word of God
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."— Genesis 1:1-2
An unbeliever was I, believing in science rather than God. Difficult to believe in that which I cannot see I put all my trust and faith in me. Life was good I worked hard for all I had. I’ve never been afraid of getting my hands dirty working. I did it all by myself—why thank God for that?
Near death experiences bring clarity and purpose to your existence. I was brought to my knees when my child almost died in a car accident. An accident so horrible tragedy happened suddenly unexpectedly turned my life inside out. What do you do when the doctors can’t help you? Their diagnosis was dim—left me hopeless.
My family was praying something I never did. Who is this God they believe in—he never helped me in the past. I didn’t know much about him only what people said. So I picked up the King James Bible and read all about him. That's how you get to know Jesus.
Seeing is believing, that’s what I use to think. Then I read the Bible, a book inspired by God not the interpretation of man; written by the prophets who were eye witnesses to the miracles of Jesus. I needed such a miracle for who else could save my only child.
I learned how to pray “In Jesus Name” the intercessor between me and God the Father. I had to believe in that which I cannot see. The doctors didn't give me much hope I needed a miracle. I needed to believe in this Almighty God, someone more powerful than human beings. You have to humble yourself to witness God’s unimaginable glory. If I had not experienced this near death situation I would never know what God’s amazing grace could do?
“Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” —Mark 11: 24
Prayer kept me sane while I waited to hear what the doctors would say. My child survived but with God’s mercy at least there's hope for recovery. Call it what you will but prayer changes things. It gives you hope something to hold onto in times of trouble—when you have no control over your circumstances. I had the need to believe in someone more powerful than man-kind. I turned to God it gave me peace.
Now I’m a believer, a simple Bible Christian. I follow the book as it is written without the traditions or interpretations from man’s imagination. What will it take for you to believe?
“And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” —Mark 9: 24
