Biden Administration Tightens Asylum Rules at Southern Border
In response to growing concerns over the border crisis, the Biden administration has introduced stricter asylum regulations. Under the new guidelines:
? Asylum is denied when daily crossings exceed an average of 2,500.
? To lift restrictions, crossings must fall below 1,500 for 28 consecutive days (previously, 7 days).
? All migrant children are now counted, not just those from Mexico.

Green Card Validity Extended To 36 Months For Form I-90 Filers
USCIS has extended the validity of green cards to 36 months for lawful permanent residents filing Form I-90 to renew their cards. Previously, Form I-90 receipt notices provided a 24-month extension.
The updated receipt notices serve as proof of continued status and employment authorization alongside an expired green card. Those needing proof of status without a green card can request an appointment for an ADIT stamp.
