Astronauts Forging the New Frontier in Asset Performance

“THAT'S ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND.”

That’s how we like to think of our Asset Performance team here at EQT. Like astronauts…. In an ever-changing environment, the team is constantly looking to evolve in the way we work and be on top of our game. “Automation and adaptation”, is how hiring manager Chris Ciccone explains it.

As a senior talent acquisition specialist at the United States' largest producer of natural gas, I am always on the lookout for the best talent in the industry. Our company is committed to innovation and creativity, and we are excited to announce four openings within our asset performance team. To ensure we find the right candidates, I sat down with the hiring managers behind the department to learn more about EQT’s asset performance team.

If you are a potential candidate in the industry and want to know more about AP at our company, you won't want to miss this opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of EQT’s asset performance team.

Zachary Engle - Supervisor Corporate Reserves

Felipe Silva Ardila Manager, Reservoir Engineering

Luke Schanken - Manager Geology

“The Dream is Alive”

-John Young

“You guys are unique with a more sustainable approach” – says all operators and outside vendors.

EQT is proud to be the first large-scale oil and gas company to utilize ComboCurve for reserves. Our team's willingness to evolve and embrace innovative solutions has paved the way for Asset Performance and positioned us as leaders in the industry. For 2-3 years, our team has leveraged out-of-the-box tactics, such as ComboCurve, to achieve success. At EQT, we believe that being open to new ideas and approaches is paramount to achieving excellence.

“THE STARS DON'T LOOK BIGGER, BUT THEY DO LOOK BRIGHTER!”

-Sally Ride

EQT: Hiring the Brightest and the Best in the Game

At EQT, we're proud to attract some of the brightest minds in the industry. Spot the Lie- “There’s no way that an oil and gas company is 100% remote.”

?What’s our secret? Our ability to operate in a digital work environment. It may surprise some, but we're 100% remote! While we have employees on the ground managing our wells, we don't require everyone to be in a brick-and-mortar office. This allows us to reach a wider range of talent, and promote diversity, flexibility, and work-life balance. Join us in embracing the future of work!

3,2,1 Accelerate!

Not only does our digital work environment allow for flexibility, but it provides us with a unique opportunity to launch, accelerate, and wrap up projects efficiently. If you aren’t sure how this all works, Luke Schanken will quickly put your mind at ease… “The data availability and willingness to evolve makes the onboarding process simplistic. People know where the data is, they know how to access it, they can use it quickly, and we are all there to help each other through it.”

“Space is an Inspirational Concept that Allows you to Dream Big”

-Peter Diamandis

At EQT, we encourage you to dream big! What’s more is that you know what you own! Schanken says, “You see the value you add to the company, and you see how you fit into the big picture”. Silva added value to the conversation when he explained how Asset Performance is the link between production and upper management. Joining this team organically guarantees you exposure. ?Ciccone explains that “if you are the one doing the work, you are going to be the one to take credit for it, showcasing it to management, and helping with the decision-making process.”

“Houston, We Have a Problem”

-John “Jack” Swigert & James “Jim” Lovell

Hit Up Toby Z. Rice between 8-9 AM!

Ever work for a company where your upper management is just a chat away? At EQT, we believe in a flat hierarchy and a lack of silos. Our open communication channels allow for easy access to upper management, including our CEO Toby Rice. Hit him up and rest assured, your voice will be recognized. “The level of communication, transparency and willingness to help is our secret sauce” explains Zach Engle. Our AP team describes our environment as forthcoming and transparent, so if this is for you, we strongly encourage you to apply!

“There are No Stupid Questions, There’s Always Someone there to Help”

-Felipe Silva

A Place Where Friendships are Forged

Joining a new team can be nerve-wracking, but not in our Asset Performance group! Thanks to Felipe Silva, we learned about their long-standing tradition of welcoming new hires with a virtual happy hour. This one-hour initiation is a great opportunity to get to know your new colleagues, let loose, and feel welcomed.

But it doesn't stop there. The team has grown to become close-knit, often spending weekends together with friends and family. And for those concerned about not being in the Pittsburgh area, don't worry! The team meets once a quarter to collaborate and bond.

And if you're part of our Houston team, you'll be pleased to know that they have their own culture-boosting activities. Join us to experience a warm welcome and a great team culture.

Meet the Commander, Christopher C.

“CONGRATULATIONS, SPACEX, YOU GOT THE FLAG”

-Doug Hurley

Meet Chris Ciccone, the hiring manager behind our 3 open Asset Engineer roles. Chris has been with EQT since the beginning of his career, starting as an intern in 2010. Since then, he has worked his way up to manager status. Impressive, right?

When I asked Chris what has kept him at EQT for so long, his response was simple: the people. Chris values the collaboration, friendship, culture, and support that he receives from his colleagues. And with a company that’s moving in the right direction, morale is high, making it an easy choice to stay.

Chris's story is a testament to the power of a strong culture and positive work environment.

Advice to the Future #Qrew “Astronauts”

“Manage from the Bottom Up”

-Sarah Fenton

Sarah Fenton who is the Senior Vice President of our Asset Performance department said it right when she said “We manage from the bottom up”. ?At EQT, we truly hear what our employees are saying.? We encourage our team to ask questions and prioritize tasks without hesitation. Our doors are always open to new ideas and innovative solutions.

Embracing change is the key to success in any business. At EQT, we support new employees and are always willing to adapt to new processes. We believe that change leads to a more efficient and productive work experience. So, don't be afraid to ask questions and challenge the status quo. Let's work together to create a better future.
