Astrology for Buildings – No 2 The Shard

The Shard was officially opened on 1st February 2013 so it’s an Aquarius.? It was 11 years old on the day this was published as a LinkedIn post. It has been edited and added to since then and now (5th February 2024) it sends Belated Happy Birthday wishes to The Shard as a LinkedIn article.
Many 11 year old Aquarians are tall and somewhat gangly and so, so far, The Shard is illustrating a typical Aquarian trait.? Another is to seem older than your years.? The Shard does and doesn’t conform to this.? On the one hand, like old things and people, it seems to have been around for ever.? On the other hand, its unique modern design gives it that youthful appearance.
The Shard has three major planets in Aquarius: The Sun (obviously), Mercury and Mars.? This means that on 1st of February 2013, if we could see the planets from Earth, those three would have dominated the Aquarian sky.? Like any person with the sun and two major planets in the same sector, this makes The Shard very Aquarian.? It looks like one, acts like one, thinks like one and fights like one.?
A person with their sun and two major planets in Aquarius would be an intellectual and/or overwhelmingly clever.? Shardy (as close friends of The Shard call it) also has its moon in Libra and to configure even more Air sign intelligence, Shardy’s Jupiter is in Gemini. ?This means 5 planets (Earth’s moon is counted as a planet in Astrology) in Air signs.? Not only this, they almost form a grand trine – something all Astrologers look for in natal charts.
Definitely getting the vibe of Shardy being of genius. ?Shardy person would have so many Eureka moments that these moments would become boring! They’d likely be successful in any field they went into.? Could this be relevant to the Shard?? I think so. The Shard was built to impress and to become an icon.
The Shard is off the scale impressive. Who wouldn’t want to stay at the Shard’s 5 star Shangri-La Hotel? I know ventilation engineers and building surveyors who have been overwhelmed by this building, so much so that they’ve been compelled to book themselves a night here.? (Not cheap, best price I could find online was £574 per night.)? Also, The Shard will continue to attract film makers and commercial and non-commercial visual artists to feature it and thus self-perpetuate its iconic status... That said, it should have been featured much more in 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Impressive Shard Stats:? 310 metres high, 72 storeys, 36 lifts, covered by 11,000 panes of glass – you’d be a genius if you engulfed all this! Strangely too, considering I’ve identified The Shard as an Aquarius/Aquarian building… you’d be the basis for a white knuckle ride.? Why is this strange?? Of all the star signs, Aquarius is the biggest fan of white knuckle rides. Maybe there’s something to this Astrology of Buildings.
