Astro Insight, week of Nov. 6

Whatever the outcome of the US election, the revolutionary themes are clearly indicated in the current astrological weather, and the impact will be nothing short of transformational.

With the election being center stage, as we knew it would be, it’s interesting to witness the astrological synchronicities at play.

Mercury and Venus, both of which are in Libra, illustrate a ‘swing of the pendulum’, akin to a reversal of some kind, causing shock. Many will experience disbelief and inability to accept the results due to a hard square from Mercury to Saturn - which first happened November 1st, and (due to Mercury turning direct after its 3- week retrograde cycle), it forms yet another hard square again TODAY, Friday, November 6th.

The Mercury to Saturn square challenges people to think critically, and due to the fact that Mercury is in Libra, it will invite dialogue and debate.

Mars, currently in Aries, triggers the likelihood of anger and, potentially, violent reactions.

Other ‘divisive’ aspects include Venus moving towards an opposition with Mars on November 9th, triggering household and relationship disagreements, and Uranus in Taurus suggests that many will experience a stubborn refusal to accept the results. This is likely to manifest as cries of injustice exacerbated by Neptune in Pisces at the apex of the Lunar Nodes.

Positively, consciously engaging in the two main challenging aspects of squares and oppositions is the key to developing strength of character and personal power. For instance, the opposition of Mars and Venus can therefore produce the effects of couples really listening to each other in a new way they hadn’t previously.

This is true of hard aspects in our natal chart for our lifetime lessons, and is true of current transits and the synchronicities they represent.
