?The Aston Villa Football Club Foundation has received a timely Christmas boost courtesy of two Redditch businesses. Dean Corrigan , owner of Redditch based business Heaphys Menswear has been working tirelessly during the festive season to source toys which can be distributed to disadvantaged families in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands area. Ahead of the final weekend of his campaign to bring joy to young people in the area, Dean has teamed up with fellow Redditch entrepreneur Damian Lee , Managing Director at Redditch based Swift Temps.?
Swift Temps and their employees have donated a ‘sackful’ of toys to Dean’s campaign to support the Aston Villa foundation who estimate that 20,000 children in Birmingham will not receive a single present on Christmas morning this year. ?
‘As a father of three young children, I was staggered when Dean got in touch to tell me the shocking number of children who would wake up on Christmas morning and realise that Santa hadn’t been to their house. I’m humbled that we can play even a small role in making the Christmas season a little bit more joyful for those people who are most in need amongst the ongoing recession and cost of living crisis,’ said Mr. Lee.?
The Aston Villa Foundation is a registered charity that delivers the community and social responsibility work of Aston Villa Football Club. Working alongside key local and national stakeholders, the Foundation delivers projects, initiatives and provides opportunities to achieve its mission of ‘Working Together to Enrich Lives’.?
