Astec DC power supply (PSU) repairs and refurbishment.
Obsolete Artesyn Power Supply in for repair at APS

Astec DC power supply (PSU) repairs and refurbishment.

Astec was a well established brand of OEM AC-DC power supplies from back in the day. Many Astec PSUs found their way into the computing sector. To my knowledge all are now obsolete, but possibly still repairable by power supply experts.

I like to delve into the history of DC Power Supply companies, but little seems to remain on web searches now. In 1999 electronics company Emerson acquired OEM DC power manufacturer Astec, combining it with the purchase of?Artesyn?7 years later. They were then re-branded as Emerson Network Power and in 2014 announced a new name and corporate identity, Artesyn Embedded Technologies.

APS repair and refurbish the full range of Astec obsolete DC power supplies (PSUs). At last count, we have genuine repair experience of more than 156 different Astec models. We are power supply repair experts and can repair, refurbish and prolong the working life of all of their obsolete DC PSU models in critical industries. It can be a very difficult procedure to replace an obsolete PSU. Repair and Refurbishment could be a viable option for you, it is certainly a more sustainable option.

APS specialise in solutions for obsolete AC-DC power supplies (PSUs), chargers and rectifiers such as those originally made by Astec, Emerson and Artesyn. APS is run by actual PSU design engineers, so we are able to offer expert help with repairs, refurbishments and replacements to get your obsolete critical equipment back up and running in the shortest possible time.

APS have repaired over 18,500 DC Power Supplies over the last 20 years. Including more than 156 different Astec models. Search a list of the models we have repaired by following the website link below:

I worked for them as a panel builder back in 1993. I think they were called Astec Europe back then. They were in the old bsr deck factory in wolaston stourbridge.

Back in the day, I worked for a company named PowerTec. In 1989 they were acquired by Astec. The architecture on the photo looks like it comes from the PowerTec line of products. Great piece of equipment. Great piece of backstory and information as usual.
