Astec DC power supply (PSU) repairs and refurbishment.
Astec was a well established brand of OEM AC-DC power supplies from back in the day. Many Astec PSUs found their way into the computing sector. To my knowledge all are now obsolete, but possibly still repairable by power supply experts.
I like to delve into the history of DC Power Supply companies, but little seems to remain on web searches now. In 1999 electronics company Emerson acquired OEM DC power manufacturer Astec, combining it with the purchase of?Artesyn?7 years later. They were then re-branded as Emerson Network Power and in 2014 announced a new name and corporate identity, Artesyn Embedded Technologies.

3 年Back in the day, I worked for a company named PowerTec. In 1989 they were acquired by Astec. The architecture on the photo looks like it comes from the PowerTec line of products. Great piece of equipment. Great piece of backstory and information as usual.
