Assumptions; and This Week's Reading Pile

I know assumptions get a bad rap. I know the saying. But...they can be powerful!

Here are some good ones.

  1. Assume the best in others' intentions.
  2. Assume competence.
  3. Assume truthfulness.
  4. Assume you don't know all the details behind someone's actions.

I know what people say about assuming. But I'd rather assume the best in people than the worst. If they eventually prove me wrong, so be it.
