Associate Director - Ecology - Cumbria £42000 - £48000
Catherine Bunting ? ??
Team Leader at Prospectus. A Recruitment Specialist - Focused on People and the Planet.
I have a new role, Associate Director of Ecology based in Cumbria. This is a new role due to the phenomenal growth of my client, who are an impressive and sizeable Environmental Consultancy.
Joining a broader UK based Ecology team, the Associate Director of Ecology will be opening an office in Cumbria to support a strong order book of work there for my client, and will grow a team to deliver Ecology Project work for NW clients.
From a technical perspective, you will have worked your way up the ranks having great field skills. You are highly likely to have at least a couple of protected species licences. From a desk based perspective, it will be a given that you know your way around ecological reports. What will set you above the rest however, is your leadership capability. You will be a safe pair of hands in getting the best from your team, and you will also inspire clients as you tender for new projects.
It’s important that you have demonstrable experience of managing large complex projects, highways projects and large scale residential in particular. Any experience within aquatic ecology is also a bonus. My client prides themselves on having close knit and happy teams. It’s important to them that whatever level you’re working at, you are happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in when it’s an all hands to the deck situation.
We all know that job titles can vary drastically. The right person for this role may be currently working as a Senior or Principal Ecologist with another company. This role offers a flexible working pattern, with working from home very popular amongst the team, but you must be based close enough to the office to be able to commute in where needed.
If you’re looking for a long term move, joining a friendly and professional team at a senior level, and working for a company who value work life balance, and are passionate about looking out for their people, please feel welcome to apply here, or contact Catherine at Hill and Jago to discuss confidentially.
