ASSIST Drives Sustainability Discussions at Global CSR & ESG Summit

ASSIST had a notable presence at the 16th Annual Global CSR & ESG Summit & Awards in Hanoi. Aru David, ASSIST Vietnam’s Director, led a panel on "Efficient ESG Governance." As media partners for iMPACT Magazine and AsianNGO, ASSIST highlighted key ESG discussions. The Summit, a premier sustainability platform, focused on "Generating Meaningful Impact. Unlocking Value," showcasing ESG's potential for lasting change and inspiring impactful strategies for customers, employees, and shareholders in today's dynamic business landscape.

CoE Thailand Project: Training of Trainers Program Launch in Thailand

On May 20th, 2024, the Training of Trainers program under the CoE Thailand project was launched at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. This program equips leading instructors at the Thai-French Innovation Institute with advanced skills in electrical and automation fields. These instructors will then train over 160 others across Thailand, enhancing the skills of more than 42,000 students to meet the energy industry's needs. The CoE Thailand project, supported by OVEC, involves ASSIST Vietnam, Schneider Electric Thailand, and over 15 Thai vocational institutions.

ASSIST Vietnam Welcomes P4G Leaders

On April 15, 2024, ASSIST Vietnam welcomed P4G's Executive Director Robyn McGuckin and Vietnam Country Manager Mi Tran to Ho Chi Minh City to visit three new P4G-funded partnerships. These partnerships highlight early-stage startups driving social and environmental change: Alternō - ASSIST, which uses sand for heat management in agriculture, reducing drying costs by up to 50%; EBOOST - ASSIST, building a nationwide electric vehicle charging network; and Stride - ASSIST, offering financing for solar installations and energy-efficient products.

We are committed to supporting these climate-focused startups and empowering them to become sustainable titans of tomorrow. By fostering innovations like these, we aim to make a significant impact on Vietnam's clean energy transition and agricultural efficiency, ultimately contributing to global environmental goals.

Phero Rice: A Sustainable Future for Vietnamese Rice Farmers

The Phero Rice project, launched on April 1st, 2024, offers a sustainable alternative to traditional pesticides in Vietnamese rice farming. Held in Vinh Long, this initiative addresses the harmful effects of synthetic chemicals. By using pheromones to disrupt pest mating patterns, it reduces reliance on synthetic pesticides, lowers pest populations, and minimizes crop damage. Spearheaded by DEG Impulse, ASSIST Vietnam, M2i Life Sciences, and Vinh Long's Department of Agriculture, it promotes a more sustainable future for Vietnamese rice production.
