What makes an 'ass***e'?

Assholes: A Theory The documentary directed by John Walker based on the best selling book by Aaron James can certainly explain this type of personality and their sense of entitlement. Everyday is like their birthday, it is all about 'them, except that is everyday. They make terrible co-workers, terrible managers, terrible partners and terrible friends.

Speaking from a career in the RCMP, as some one who has had experience with leaders and co-workers who truly believed that they had the right to abuse others. I mean they thought it was just part of doing business. Assh**s have all sorts of excuses about their behaviour and nothing changes. As a result there are damaged employees, damaged work relationships and a damaged workplace. No one wins.

Speaking up about bullying/assholes depends on the voice of victims and bystanders. If no one says anything then nothing changes.

It was an honour to be part of this important documentary along with conversations with IT experts, university professors, psychologists, university students, LGBTQ activist and writer John Cleese.

Speaking up/pushing back about bullying/ass**le behaviour is everyone's responsibility. Doing nothing allows this violence to continue because it is violence. Physical or psychological bullying is violence. Ass**le's believe they have the 'right'. Silence of others gives them power. Be part of the voice to stop ass**lery.
