Asset management executives on the move
Welcome to FundFire's News Brief.
Asset management industry executives were on the move last week.
Invesco's head of institutional business for North America, John Galateria, has left the firm, prompting the Atlanta-based company to pick an interim replacement while searching for a successor, FundFire reported last week.
Meanwhile, New York University named a new chief investment officer after almost half of the $6 billion endowment's staff fled to join former CIO Kathleen Jacobs at her new gig.
Five other endowment pros have left NYU since Jacobs' October departure, and at least four have joined her at the investment office of RWJ Barnabas Health, an $8 billion health system.
NYU named Michelle Knudsen to the CIO role but has yet to announce replacements for the other investment positions.
In other news, AQR veteran Bryan Johnson, who oversaw business development in the registered investment advisor channel on the West Coast, has hopped to private equity boutique Star Mountain Capital, which managed $4 billion as of March.
Finally, T. Rowe Price sustainability executive Poppy Allonby has resurfaced as the CIO of the Church of England. She's slated to start at the endowment, which manages $12.7 billion, in September.
