The County of Los Angeles has 88 cities served by 25,597 officers and deputies, 1,691 dispatchers, 1,141 reserve officers, and thousands of professional staff. The 88 cities, and approximate 140 unincorporated areas and communities within Los Angeles County have a total population of 9,969,510 population as of 2021. One city has 4 million people, another 300. Residents range from some of the richest people in the world to some of poorest (14.9% live in poverty) with everything in-between. They come from throughout the world and speak more than 200?languages. Los Angeles has more residents than any other county in the nation and is one of the largest in size (2nd largest in state) as such it has a significant law enforcement presence to deal with some of the worst crime issues in the nation.

Alhambra Police Department

Baldwin Park Police Department

Their helicopter, motorcycles, and bicycle patrols allow them to respond quickly to emergency situations, and gives them the flexibility to act and prevent crime instead of merely reacting to crimes that have already occurred. Beverly Hills Police Department

On August 1, 1927, the Beverly Hills Police Department was formed as a municipal organization, and Blair became its first Chief of Police. The Department consisted of Blair, one captain, three lieutenants, four sergeants, four motor officers, twenty-three patrolmen and three clerks. In 1932, the Police Department moved to the Beverly Hills City Hall, where it remained until the new police facility was occupied in 1990. The current police facility is located across the street from City Hall at 464 N. Rexford Drive.?
