Assessing information
How do you assess information or knowledge?
Do you go with time-tested or novel information?
Has the time-tested information been disproven?
Do you know if the novel information has been proven yet?
What is your goal?
No information is truly objective, nor 100% correct. Humans have subjective perspectives and tend to simplify.
Decide accordingly!
Humans need to simplify because of the cognitive load information creates. It’s probably good advice never to see things absolute but relative and remain open for adjustments based new and even disconfirming information
