I'm thrilled that organizations are interested enough in the topic of burnout to hire me to speak on their stages for their annual events.
But, as I always say, burnout is not something we can solve in 45 minutes.
If you have people inside your company dealing with triple volume due to increased demands or staffing shortages, nothing I share with them from a keynote speech will change their lives.
As it turns out, I'm in the business of changing lives. I am not satisfied with simply motivating the crowd. If you're feeling resentful, I want you to know that it's OK to experience these feelings. If you're feeling helpless, I get it. There is no shame in that.
Most of my clients are in leadership positions or in the service industry. It's hard to lead or serve from a place of burnout. In either case, you're going to have to learn to not only manage your own stress, but to manage other people's stress as well.
It’s rough out there. Truth.
How you navigate your way around stress makes all the difference in your experience in the world. My hope is that if you're in charge of the wellbeing of your staff, that you empower them with sufficient training to become mind ninjas. And if you're your own boss, be generous with yourself and invest in your wellbeing.

Do you ever feel like you have to shut yourself up in order to be compliant? Is your need to please others eating away at your integrity?
Sometimes, being true to ourselves means asserting our needs with others. It means standing up for ourselves and not letting other people's agendas dictate our actions.
This is easier said than done. Which is why we need guidance.
Enter Dr. Abby Hamilton. In her TEDx talk, she shares her personal transformation from a people pleaser to someone who regularly asserts herself and she shares how you can too.
