The benefit of connection
By W. Frazier Pruitt
Some would argue that connecting with others is the purpose of life. Even if you feel differently or you just don’t buy it, the evidence still shows that connection is hugely important.
Mountains of research demonstrate that quality connections make us happier. Not only that, the research shows that with a good number of good quality connections we are actually physically healthier and live longer.
To help you support your long and healthy life, or at least support your career, Rochester ASQ is here to help you connect.?We would love to connect with members and potential members but we also want folks to connect with one another. We work to support our members, improve community quality education, and help networks grow. With any luck we will help make our community more vibrant, and maybe even help individuals grow happier and healthier.
Grow your network this year with three excellent ways to connect with ASQ Rochester– MyASQ, ASQ Rochester LinkedIn and the return of our in-person ASQ Rochester Conference this fall.
There have been steady improvements at MyASQ, so if you haven’t visited in a while be sure to check it out again. If you are a member of the Rochester Section just sign in at MyASQ Rochester and you will be automatically added to the group. If you are already in another section but interested in what we do email Customer Care at [email protected] to get connected.
The newly resurrected the ASQ Rochester LinkedIn Group is up 10% in membership in recent weeks. It is a great safe place for collaboration.?ASQ Rochester also added an organization ASQ Rochester which is up 4900% last month (previously there was one follower, but we will take the credit anyway) so feel free to follow for updates.
If you want to get more involved with ASQ or are involved with an organization with values that fits with ours, please let me know so we can explore the opportunities. As always, our Mission and Vision statements are at the bottom of this newsletter.
Cheers,
Frazier

2 年Great post! There are so many ways making and keeping ASQ connections has helped me grow. I hope to meet many Rochester members at next year’s WCQI, perhaps as volunteers?
