1.1 Unlocking Government Procurement: BACCO’s Three-Day Workshop Empowers IT Service Providers

The Bangladesh Association of Contact Center & Outsourcing (BACCO), in collaboration with the ICT Business Promotion Council (IBPC), hosted a three-day workshop titled “Government Procurement System for Services” from January 18–20, 2025.?

Held at Amazon Lilly Lake View Residence, the workshop aimed to increase awareness of Government Process Outsourcing (GPO) and help BACCO members secure government IT contracts. 65 BACCO member organizations participated.

The event featured Mr. Mohammad Aminul Hoque (Chief Guest), Mr. Md. Faysal Khan (Special Guest), and Engr. Mohammad Atiqul Islam (Trainer).

GPO allows government agencies to outsource services like customer support, data entry, and IT solutions to private firms, enhancing service quality. However, many companies miss out due to limited procurement knowledge.

To bridge this gap, BACCO organizes this annual workshop to educate and empower its members. The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, reinforcing BACCO’s commitment to helping IT firms thrive in government outsourcing.


1.2 A Gesture of Warmth: BACCO & TMGB Stand by the Homeless

As winter grips the nation, countless underprivileged and homeless individuals struggle to stay warm. Recognizing the urgent need to support those most affected by the harsh weather, the Bangladesh Association of Contact Center & Outsourcing (BACCO) and the Technology Media Guild Bangladesh (TMGB) have come together to organize a winter clothing distribution initiative.

With a strong commitment to social responsibility, this initiative aims to provide warmth and comfort to those taking refuge on the streets of the capital. Volunteers from BACCO and TMGB personally distributed winter essentials, ensuring that those in need received much-needed relief from the biting cold.

Through this compassionate effort, BACCO and TMGB reaffirm their dedication to uplifting vulnerable communities and creating a positive impact beyond the corporate and technology sectors. Their joint initiative serves as a reminder that small acts of kindness can bring immense relief to those facing extreme hardships.


2.1 BASIS & ICT Division Strengthen Ties for a Digital Future

On January 18, 2025, the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), in collaboration with the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), hosted a seminar at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center, Purbachal.?

The event highlighted Bangladesh’s rapid ICT growth, with $840 million in ICT exports in FY 2023-24 and key companies expanding globally. BASIS has played a crucial role in supporting the industry, processing $985 million in cash incentive applications and issuing 12,131 export certificates.

Additionally, on January 15, BASIS representatives met with ICT Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury to discuss expanding ICT markets, revising procurement policies, and developing a "Total Digital Transformation Roadmap." The Secretary reaffirmed government support for BASIS initiatives to strengthen the sector.?

With strategic investments and a young, skilled workforce, Bangladesh is positioning itself as a global ICT leader, driving innovation, job creation and sustainable economic growth.


2.2 Enhancing Digital Branding: BASIS Committee Charts New Strategies

The BASIS Standing Committee on Digital Marketing held a strategic meeting on January 28, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the BASIS Boardroom. Led by Mr. A H M Rokmunur Zaman Rony, Member In-Charge, the session featured Mr. Md. Mijanur Rahman, Co-Chairman of the BASIS Associate Committee, as a guest.

The meeting began with introductions, bringing together members both in-person and online. Discussions focused on restructuring the committee, with members expressing interest in chair and co-chair positions, which will be finalized in the next Associate Committee meeting.?

Key topics included content branding strategies and initiatives to enhance the digital marketing sector for the benefit of BASIS members.

The session was facilitated by H. M. Imam Hasan, Deputy Manager, Public Relations, BASIS, ensuring a productive and insightful discussion aimed at advancing digital marketing within Bangladesh’s ICT industry.

The BPO industry continues evolving, offering cost-effective, scalable solutions for non-core business functions. As we approach 2025, top BPO companies are integrating AI, automation, and analytics to enhance efficiency and innovation. Key players in 2025 include FBSPL, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, IBM Global Services, Genpact, Wipro, Capgemini, Xerox Business Services, and HCL Technologies.?

These companies offer services like finance, accounting, customer support, HR, IT outsourcing, and supply chain management while leveraging cutting-edge technology for seamless operations.

Future BPO trends will focus on AI-driven automation, digital transformation, and end-to-end solutions, helping businesses remain competitive. As outsourcing demand grows, BPO companies must provide innovative services that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

While making them strategic partners in a fast-paced, technology-driven marketplace. Businesses should consider partnering with top BPOs to optimize performance and gain a competitive edge.

This wasn’t just a gathering, it was a celebration of our unity, shared success, and the incredible culture that makes ASL BPO feel like home.

From sizzling BBQ filling the air with aromas to our talented employees taking the stage with soulful performances, every moment was a testament to the vibrant spirit we share.?

The night was brimming with energy, with lively amusements, music festivals and heartfelt conversations that strengthened our bond. Having our CEO and Manager join the festivities added an extra touch of warmth and appreciation, making the event even more special.

4.2 ASL BPO Smashes into 2025 with an Exciting Badminton Tournament!

Beyond the Desk: A Day of Sportsmanship and Unity by ASL BPO’s Badminton Showdown

ASL BPO kicked off the year with an exhilarating badminton tournament, bringing together 26 employees from various departments for a day of friendly competition and bond.

This event was a testament to the team spirit, enthusiasm and unity that define our workplace culture.

Adding to the excitement, our CEO and Manager actively participated, reinforcing ASL BPO’s commitment to fostering engagement beyond the workplace.?

The competition was fierce, but Khalid Salman emerged as the champion of the day, showcasing exceptional skill and determination.

We extend our appreciation to all participants for making this event a celebration of sportsmanship and teamwork.?
