Asking a recruiter the salary range on the job is not RUDE!

Never feel awkward or shy asking a recruiter for the salary range on a job!

This does not make you greedy, does not come across as intrusive and quite simply with the current state of the market, we expect the question to be asked!

?? You ask because you know your worth based on your knowledge and skills, and because there’s so much disparity and ambiguity when it comes to salaries we’ve lost trust and expect the worst when a salary isn’t displayed on a job advert.

?? Cutting to the chase on the first call with a Recruiter isn’t rude. It’s covering all bases and ensures the role and recruitment process is worth your time and investment.

? Add your salary requirements to your list of non-negotiables ?

Would you go on a date with someone without pre-qualifying them in earlier discussions on what it is they’re offering and what they’re looking for? That’s basically a blind date, and going into an interview process without any visibility of salary is basically a blind interview process.

‘Know Your Worth’

Why do we need to negotiate in the first place? Let's be clear, companies do not make profit from paying low salaries. Employers should make an offer based on the service rendered (not last drawn salary or years of experience). Employees can then focus on performing and improving without having to worry about remuneration.
