Many people feel uncomfortable asking for a raise. Well hey, as we advance in our careers, it will be an inevitable conversation. Talking about money is thought to be taboo but having confidence in yourself and knowing how to approach the conversation can help you get to where you want to be.?

To prepare for your conversation, compile some of your achievements, how you’ve helped your team, and any other aspirations you may have. Also, do some research to see what other comps are for your role in a similar company or industry.?


After you’ve done your research, set up the meeting (finding a good time is key… maybe don’t do it as soon as your boss is back from vacation and is catching up on everything… wait for 2-3 days!), bring your talking points, and get ready!?
