As a founder, how can you specifically take customer feedback into account when creating a new product or feature?
There's a useful exercise I like to carry out that direct requests responses from target customers. The questions focus on the emotions that drive an action. Asking for a real world story (good or bad) during a customer interview usually opens the flow of feedback. Ultimately, the pearl is the root of the problem the customer is trying to solve. It's that want (or need) that, when combined with the customer's familiarity with an existing solution, dictates their purchase behavior. The trick is to interview enough candidates to uncover a trendline. It's that trend that should inspire the appropriate offering.
