Where do I start on LinkedIn if I would like to use it as a marketing tool for my freelance business?
The most important place to start is with yourself: think about the boundaries of what you'd like to share or not, and then make sure you develop a strategy that is sustainable for you. Posting 5 times a week is great, but if it'll burn you out so you don't post for months afterwards, it's not a good strategy!
How can I find the time to post regularly on LinkedIn?
If you want LinkedIn to be part of your long-term marketing strategy, you have to schedule it as non-negotiable time in your workday. That can mean turning down work that interferes with your LinkedIn time. It sounds scary, I know, but otherwise it'll never be a priority!
Where do you get the inspiration for your posts?
A lot of my inspiration comes from my day-to-day work. I might have an interaction with a client and think "Oh actually, that's pretty interesting" and pop it in a Google Doc where all my ideas go so I can use them later.
How can you make sure you always have something to write about, even when you have no inspiration?
Having a cache of "evergreen" content really helps in these situations. Blog posts, articles, or ideas that are "timeless" and can be reused.
Recycling content should actually be part of your content strategy!

Where do you find the confidence to start posting?
To be perfectly honest, I didn't have it at the start. I hate the phrase, but "fake it 'til you make it " worked for me.
I started posting as if I were confident in what I was doing, and then as I learned more I realised I actually was confident.
My advice is: just give it a go. You'll never know how it might turn out until you do.
Where did you get the confidence to start posting TikTok content?
After posting on LinkedIn for a while, I knew I wanted to start making video content, but I hated "talking head" type content – it just didn't feel like me.
What did feel like me was making relatable and funny content via TikToks, so I gave it a go, and people seemed to like it.
The lesson is – just because you see someone else doing it, it doesn't mean you have to do it too!
What are some examples of boundaries you can set for your personal brand?
Boundaries are – and should be – personal. Your lines are different to everyone else's.
For example, I don't share photos or names of my family members, or speak about traumatic experiences (just mental health). But some people are comfortable doing both of these things. It's all about what's right for you!
