Q: Should I time study multiple associates at varying skill levels to ensure the study's accuracy?

A. Multiple operators at varying skill levels should be time studied if possible. Timing multiple operators and applying a performance rating will help ensure that a more accurate average cycle time among all operators is captured. Additionally, timing more operators will help the person conducting the studies to become better at accurately judging performance levels for the process.

One should avoid taking samples from operators with an extremely high or extremely low performance rating since it can throw off the results.

IMEG Engineers have the training and experience to identify which associates should be observed for time studies!
