We sat down with the Fennies People Team, Caroline Horsley , Head of Talent and Chloe Barrett , HR Manager, to discover more about life at Fennies and to give you some of their top tips when applying for a job at Fennies!???

Chloe, what is the working culture like at Fennies???

I have four top tips which would be...?

  1. Keep it Short and Sweet, make sure your CV is tailored, meaning it’s made for the job you’re applying for by looking at the job description and making your CV relevant to the information provided??
  2. Don’t forget to include your achievements. If you’re an experienced practitioner, use the most recent achievements as examples??
  3. For those of you with less experience, don’t forget to think back to school and mention any awards you may have won or any successful groups you were a part of?
  4. And my last tip would be to make sure you keep your CV up to date!???

Do you have any top tips for my interview at Fennies??

I know that Interviews can be nerve-racking, so it’s a good idea to be well-prepared to help keep your mind at ease.? Before your interview, make sure you plan your route to the nursery to ensure you arrive on time, dress smartly and always be polite. Remember, first impressions count!??

We are always looking for our practitioners to have a keen interest in the early years, and it's great to show that you have creative ideas during your nursery interview.???

A good knowledge of the nursery you’re applying for definitely helps, so have a look at the nursery website or social media channels before applying.??
