Asia's FIRST Global Drone Conference (GDC) & Hackathon 2019 in Malaysia

This is the Asia's FIRST Drone Conference and Hackathon to be held from 21 to 22 October 2019 at Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is an international conference for the Asian drone industry to explore strategies for the efficient use of UAV. Key figures from the fields of politics, law-making, academia, industry and business come together to discuss the way forward for achieving acceptance and devising solutions for the safe and effective commercial use of unmanned aircraft in Asia.

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) (or uncrewed aerial vehicle,commonly known as a DRONE) is an aircraft without a human pilot on board and a type of unmanned vehicle.There are so many categories and usage of drones. This conference bring you deeper into commercial drones. This conference will share with you about how commercial drones are affecting industries, policies and regulations.

In order educate the youth with this technology and engineering of the drones, a Drone Hackathon is part of this year programme. This Hackathon is meant for students, startups, software engineers and entrepreneurs to learn, involved and understand how the workforce is changing with the emergence of all these new technologies and that drone can do so much more with its relation to the defense industry.

The estimated number of participants is about 500 people, both locally (public and private sector) and internationally. The main target groups will be from the Armed Forces and Public Security, industry sectors, academia, public and private institutions, society and the governments within Asia.
