The Asian Polyurethane Business Association (APBA) aims to be a platform for the polyurethane industry on a pan-Asian base in close cooperation with existing country-specific Polyurethane (PU) Associations, hereby bridging the efforts to connect and explore opportunities for the PU industry.

APBA focuses on the needs and requirements of polyurethane industries related to flexible and rigid polyurethanes, molding, casting, adhesives, and coatings. The applications include furniture & bedding, automotive seating and interiors, building & construction, refrigeration, insulation, footwear, cast wheels, rollers, adhesives, coatings, and sealants.

APBA Objectives

• To promote the usage of PU as an alternative to other materials in the same application
• To encourage cooperation in the end-to-end supply chain of PU products
• To share non-competitive knowledge about the PU products supply chain
• To promote and stimulate environmental care, health, and safety throughout the PU supply chain
• To be a counterpart for local and regional legislators on the PU supply chain
• To be a knowledge platform for all its members on new technologies, legislation, research, and quality standards
• To promote sustainability and circular economy within the PU supply chain

By connecting members on a vertical base as well as on a geographical level, APBA stands to promote the PU industry and support its growth and professionalism.

Committees/Working Groups

APBA will have various committees or working groups dealing with specific aspects of the PU industry, such as technical standards, regulations, market development, etc. Members can voluntarily participate in the following working groups based on their expertise and interest.

• End-to-end Supply Chain Changes & Developments
• Market Growth & Trends
• Quality Certification

Membership

APBA recognizes the following types of organization memberships;

• Regular Member: The regular members are manufacturers and converters of all types of polyurethane products.
• Associate Member: Associate members are suppliers to polyurethane foam manufacturers and converters. Typically they provide materials, machinery, instruments, or auxiliaries to the manufacturers and converters.
• Professional Member: Professional Members are service providers to the polyurethane industry such as professional education, events, market reports, research, and consulting.
• Strategic Member: Strategic Members are industry associations, that are involving the polyurethane industry and its supply chain. These members are to be invited by the APBA Executive Board

Membership Fee (Annual)

The APBA charges a flat annual membership fee based on the type of membership:

• Regular Member: USD 1000
• Associate Member: USD 1500
• Professional Member: USD 750
• Strategic Member: Upon invitation | Complimentary

Remarks : VAT 7% applies on above membership fees.
