The short answer to this question is yes. The world is witnessing an unprecedented event. The governments all over the globe are attempting to manage the situation created by the outbreak of COVID-19. The business world has not been left untouched and the companies world over are rethinking of ways to not only overcome the challenges posed but also to design such business models to negate such disruptions in the future.
While the whole world is displaying the signs of recession setting in their markets, the markets in South East Asia have shown resilience and are serving as a beacon of hope for the markets world over. The possibility presented by markets in South East Asia has attracted the global leader’s attention and has resulted in the shifting of many business operations and supply chain networks in countries such as India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Singapore. The technologically advanced manpower and presence of labor in the market make this shift even more feasible.
To fulfill this responsibility of meeting the demands of global markets, there is a requirement to undertake studies in areas that are more specific to the markets in South East Asia. This will help to not only extend the domain knowledge of the professionals but will as well assist in fostering innovative solutions specific to the demands of the industry. As the focus of the world shifts to Asia, I think that more and more students the world over will slowly move to take on studies in the Asian countries to be able to effectively contribute to the developing center of business power. They will have to come to terms with the diversity that is presented in Asian markets and also the diversity they will encounter while performing business functions in countries such as China and India given their huge landmass. As we will see this opportunity in the near future, it is also important for the educational institutes in these countries to come together and collaborate to make Asia a suitable destination for students from all over the world.
