Ashley, Ana, and the power of the happy place
Hello,
Ashley Thompson and Ana Homonnay’s happy place is telling stories of diversity, social impact, and inclusivity. So, you can imagine how happy they were to work on a campaign for Honor, the home care network, whose mission is “revolutionizing how society cares for older adults, their families, and Care Professionals.”
A studio can be an intimidating place, especially for people who aren’t used to posing for the camera. But Ash and Ana are super-connectors. Their easy way with people and gentle, respectful style works like a charm to help their subjects feel comfortable and confident.
Their favorite part of this shoot was working with four sisters—ranging in age from late 70s to late 80s—who were born and raised in Oakland. These beautiful women talk to each other every day and never miss their Sunday lunch date. Ash and Ana made the set a safe place for their love, laughter and distinctive personalities to shine through. And, as you can see by the way these images are being featured on the organization’s website, they took Honor to their happy place, too.
Fondly,
Freda
