Ash Content of Activated Carbon

Usually,The difference of ash content and its composition of activated carbon mainly come from the carbon making material .

Researchers used HCI/HF chemical method to deash the activated carbon ,and studied the influence of ash content of activated carbon on the adsorption performance of organic matter .There was no significant difference in pore structure and chemical properties of activated carbon after deashing .The adsorption capacity of activated carbon are similar ,which indicated that ash on the surface of activated carbon had little effect on the adsorption of aromatic compounds .
