ASEI Event: Future-proofing Your Career

LinkedIn's Top Re-Invention Guru: Career Coaching & Leadership Development at its Best!
American Society of Engineers of Indian Engineers organized a career event, aptly billed as Future-proofing your career, yesterday, at the Fremont, CA, Lake Elizabeth park. Hundreds attended the event--from new college graduates to entrepreneurial leaders and everyone in between of all ages and stripes. As always, Piyush Malik, ASEI's indefatigable Chair organized the event with his army of volunteer and Board members.
Many experienced mentors and career professionals were speakers and panel members. As the event came to a close when R. Paul Singh and I delivered the synopsis of the proceedings throughout the event, after culling the wisdom of all the speakers who shared their wisdom, providing their advice on how to manage your career to future-proof it.
The socko event and camaraderie went on for over four hours on a balmy Sunday in the Lake Elizabeth's pleasant surroundings. Fremont's mayor, Lily Mei, graced the event, with Raj Salwan and Yajing Zhang, President of Fremont's Unified School District.
Rajesh Setty, 19X author and an entrepreneurial wiz, who stopped by briefly to share his thoughts gave sage advice to newly-minted graduates: If you want to become like the Michael Angelo's David, be prepared to find yourself a mentor as brutal as that artist, who mercilessly chiseled away a block of marble to create that masterpiece.
After listening to many career experts, entrepreneurs, and start-up leaders, I provided the following summary of what I heard, along with R. Paul Singh as the event came to a close.
Yesterday being the 25th of August and having completed 25 years in my coaching business I decided to present the event's summary with the following 25 tips culled from the speakers' wisdom as the event's finale:?
