Happy Friday!!
As we all know, Cisco Adaptive Security Device Manager (ASDM) is software that enables users to manage and monitor security via a web interface. Cisco firewall appliances and firewall service modules can be configured, monitored, and troubleshooted. Many organizations are discontinuing this device, but many people still use it.
So let's talk about one of the issues we sometimes face when using ASDM-IDM launcher .
Recently, I uninstalled my ASDM and then tried to reinstall it. I started getting the following error after installing the software.
Like everyone else, I searched for the answer on Google, but could not find it. After lots of trial and error, I found the answer, so I thought I would share it with you.
You can resolve this issue by going to the start menu, typing ASDM, and clicking open file location.
Click on the file and go to properties. Under the target, remove everything and paste the following address, hit apply and ok.
C:\Windows\System32\wscript.exe invisible.vbs run.bat
That's it, now you can use the ASDM launcher :).
