Ascription

Worship, is a strong feeling of love, respect, adoration, showing profound religious devotion, reverence and homage for a divine being or submission to a supernatural power.

Doctrine, is a set of beliefs. The word comes from Latin (doctor or “teacher”), so think of a doctrine as the teachings of a school, religion, or political ideology.

Sect, is a group of people with somewhat different religious beliefs (typically regarded as heretical) from those of a larger group to which they belong.

Belief, is a subjective attitude, a state or habit of mind in which an acceptance, trust, faith, or confidence that something exists or is true, especially one without proof. In epistemology, philosophers use the term referring to attitudes about the world which can be either true or false. In psychology, it is typically defined as cognitive act or internal mental state, or a disposition that is often associated with a particular response that could be in the form of a statement or an action.

Faith, is a strong or unshakeable belief in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual conviction or certitude even where there is no evidence or proof.

Religion, is the belief in and worship of a superhuman power or powers, especially a God (or Gods), a particular system, pursuit, or interest of faith, and worship, followed with great devotion and sacred, reverence for a God.

Myth, is a traditional or legendary story, usually concerning some being or hero or event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural explanation, especially one that is concerned with Deities or Demi-Gods and explains some practice, rite, or phenomenon of nature.

Legend, is a traditional story sometimes popularly regarded as historical but not authenticated.

Ritual, is a religious, or solemn ceremony, or act sequence of customary observances involving gestures, words, actions, or revered objects. Rituals may be prescribed by the traditions and folklore of a community.

Prayer, is an invocation or act that seeks to activate a rapport with what's worshiped through direct communication. In the narrow sense, the term refers to an act of supplication or intercession directed towards a deity or a deified object.

Folklore, is the body of expressive culture, traditional beliefs, customs, and stories of a community, passed through the generations by word of mouth shared by a particular group of people, culture or subculture. This includes oral traditions such as tales, myths, legends, proverbs, poems, jokes, and other oral traditions. This also includes material culture, such as traditional building styles common to a group.

Tradition, is an inherited, established, or customary pattern of thought, action, or behavior (such as a religious practice or a social custom), a belief or story or a body of beliefs or stories relating to the past that are commonly accepted as historical though not verifiable.

Fable, is a short fictitious story, especially one intended to teach a lesson and in which animals speak and act like human beings.
