Congratulations to Caleb Hayde of Aurecon; Farzad Moghaddam; Stephen Kelly and Gregory Fazzone for sharing their student research reports at the ASCP Forum. Caleb Hayde presented a summary of his investigation on significant cyclic movements of a concrete pavement and their impact on the pavement’s contact with the subase layer. Stephen Kelly and Gregory Fazzone presented on the effect of aggregate type on continuously reinforced concrete pavements and the response to thermal loading on concrete containing different aggregate types. Farzad Moghaddam presented on his experimental study focusing on the evaluation of the important characteristics of using run of station fly ash and other supplementary cemented materials as alternatives to classified fly ash, including the effect of their characteristics on workability, strength and durability. A special thank you to Jon Lee, CPEng FIEAust for sharing the photographs he took during this event.
