ASAE CAE Commission Chair Celebrates New CAEs

ASAE CAE Commission Chair Celebrates New CAEs

These are my remarks celebrating new CAEs during the ASAE Annual Meeting and Exposition on Monday, August 12, 2024 in Cleveland, Ohio.

?Buenos Días! ?Buenos Días! Good Morning ASAE!

Today, I have the honor of introducing and celebrating 235 association professionals (108 in Spring 2024 and 127 in Winter 2023) who accomplished earning their Certified Association Executive credential!

Our colleagues now join more than 4,600 industry leaders across the globe in holding the CAE. The CAE credential designates them as a professional who can help advance organizations and our association management industry into a future that is filled with challenges. Their unique expertise coupled with their CAE credential benefits our community and industry at international, national, regional, and local levels. Our community of dedicated association professionals welcomes you! We celebrate you! #CAEProud

The CAE Program is dedicated to the strategic imperatives to demonstrate the value of the credential; ensure its relevance; advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and access, and sustain strong partnerships with our stakeholders. Through our surveys, we know that:

—Since 2018, on average 83% of CAEs renew their certification.

—CAEs are, on average, ten times more likely to engage in various ASAE activities, including our Annual Meeting.

—Over 3,760 of our 6,300 ASAE volunteers hold the CAE credential, representing over half of our volunteer community.

—Over 135 ASAE DELP Scholars have their CAE.

—Thirteen of the 18 ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership Board of Director members currently hold the CAE credential.

—And, our ASAE President and CEO Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE has her CAE.?

On behalf of the CAE Commission, we thank all our CAE registered providers, especially The Association Societies Alliance, for providing education that meets the Commission’s standards for helping individuals earn or maintain the CAE credential .

Thank you to the CAE Appeals Committee, Examination Committee, Item-Writing Committee, and Professional Conduct Committee for your long-standing contributions to making this credential so worthwhile.

Thank you to our new CAE Registered Provider Committee and its Founding Chair Celia Chomón Zamora, Ph.D., CAE , Ph.D., CAE, for evaluating, monitoring, and approving professional development offered by our CAE Registered Providers.

I personally thank Jamar Wright, CAE, Director, Credentialing. Without Jamar our CAE Program would not be the same.

All their work supports our efforts to continually improve the CAE Program’s quality and performance, and better serve the CAE community.

To our New CAEs – Congratulations! Now you are also an ambassador to help more association professionals obtain the CAE credential. We will continue to celebrate you and your success in the CAE exhibit booth. Join us!

?Gracias, Muchas Gracias! Thank you, it has been an honor to serve as your CAE Commission Chair.
